Topkapi Palace (Istanbul, Turkey)

Era: Ottoman Empire

Built: 1459

The Topkapi Palace was the primary residence of Ottoman sultans for almost 400 years.

Situated on a hill overlooking the Bosphorus, it is an architectural gem, showcasing Ottoman design with delicate tilework, expansive courtyards, and ornate rooms.

The Harem is one of the most fascinating areas of the palace, offering a glimpse into the private life of the royal family. Visitors can also see sacred relics, including the Prophet Muhammad's cloak and sword, in the palace's Sacred Trusts exhibit.
