The Potala Palace is an extraordinary structure that sits high on a hill in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa. 


It was the winter residence of the Dalai Lama until his exile in 1959. 


The palace is a stunning example of Tibetan architecture, with its white-and-red exterior, and is one of the most important spiritual landmarks in Buddhism.



 Inside, the palace is filled with chapels, murals, statues, and tombs of past Dalai Lamas, offering a deep spiritual atmosphere.
