The Palace of the Parliament is not only one of the largest buildings in the world but also a symbol of Romania’s communist past.
Built under the regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu, this colossal structure is an imposing example of
Brutalist architecture and covers over 3.7 million square feet.
The interior is as grand as its exterior, with vast halls, crystal chandeliers, and decorative woodwork. Today, it serves as the seat of the Romanian Parliament and is a major tourist attraction.
